Another elderly resident at Salix Homes Floral Court was struggling to cope with the work.

Jo Rogan and the site team recognised the residents’ need for additional support and put a plan together to help her cope with the work rather than omit her property from the programme of improvement works.

The site team delayed the works each morning to enable her carers to call in each morning to help her get ready.  The team then went in to do their work. Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer Omar Faruk and Salix Homes Project Officer Jo Rogan made regular visits throughout the works to ensure she was coping with the disruption and to monitor the works.

Once the works were completed, Jo Rogan visited her again. The resident reported that she was extremely happy with the work and mentioned how helpful Omar was and how very polite and pleasant all the workmen were.
