Operation Christmas Cheer
Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end
Scott Adams
The Emanuel Whittaker site team knew it was going to be a tough Christmas for some of the residents at Banks and Peters Court, so they decided they were going to spread a bit of festive cheer.
They started by holding a collection for items to put into a Christmas hamper that they would raffle for the residents. They were also given a generous budget from Emanuel Whittaker to supplement the hampers with fresh and festive goodies. But they were so overwhelmed with the response from the kind hearted residents and the site team that they managed to put together not one, but nine hampers, allowing the team to give a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prize bumper hampers. There was even enough to make up an extra hamper for Manager, Judith, who helped make up the hampers.
Each resident received a free raffle ticket and were invited to the draw which took at the Emanuel Whittaker Site Office. The raffle was a real show stopper and a real boost for residents, some of whom won’t be doing any Christmas shopping!
