Finishing touches
Feb 21, 2022
When FCHO resident, Jodie Brotherdale heard she was getting a new kitchen, she had some plans to make hers extra special. Her dream kitchen included an integrated cooker hood, which she had bought separately, ready to add when her kitchen was finished.
When the Emanuel Whittaker team arrived to install her new kitchen, they were more than happy to go the extra mile, and installed the hood before they finished up.
Jodie was delighted and loves her new kitchen!

All in a days work…

After a previous bad experience of having a kitchen replaced, FCHO resident Samantha Cox was very nervous about having a replacement bathroom and re-wire.
Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Courtney Greatorex and Site Manager, Ian Spence reassured Samantha that not all contractors were the same. They promised that they would treat her home like their own, making sure she was happy and not stressed by the works.
True to their word, the works went smoothly, and the Emanuel Whittaker team even fitted a glass door for her shower and soap and towel holders for her.
Samantha is more than happy with her new bathroom and so grateful to the Emanuel Whittaker team for keeping their promise.
Samantha has since sent a message to the Emanuel Whittaker team:
“I would just like to say how professional and patient Courtney was with me whilst handling my full re-wire and bathroom replacement, she was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure the contractors worked really hard to make the job run smooth, with very little disturbance. I was so happy with the job done at my home and the contact I had with Courtney, I contacted her several times and she was always very polite and professional. Anything I asked, she was straight back to me to put my worries to rest. Courtney is friendly and professional and a great asset to Emanuel Whittaker”.

Whilst on a routine visit to check the progress of works at Agnes Tompson’s home, Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Colette Paterson noticed she was struggling to tune in her new TV.
Colette was more than happy to help and soon had it up and running for her.
Agnes couldn’t thank Colette enough.

During a pre-entry visit to Northward Housing residents, Margaret and William Tynan, Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officers, Sarah Kershaw and Sharna Bradley felt the need to lend a helping hand… After emptying the bins, they made the couple a brew whilst they sat and chatted about the good old days.
Margaret and William were extremely grateful for their time and kindness, and later sent Sarah and Sharna a thank you card and a ‘God Bless You’ plaque.
The plaque now takes pride of place in the site cabin.
