Delightful Donation
Jan 24, 2023
With St Mary’s School neighbouring so closely to where Emanuel Whittaker are currently working at Rectory Green, the site team thought it would also be a good idea to put a hamper together as a donation for them to have as a prize at their school Christmas Fayre.
Here are St Mary’s Mrs Beck and Head Teacher Mrs Jones receiving the hamper. Mrs Jones said it was a lovely gesture and that someone would be lucky to win it at the school’s Christmas Fayre, adding that all proceeds from the Christmas Fayre are spilt 50/50 between the school and St Mary’s Church.

Festive Fun
Jan 24, 2023
Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Garry Holt, put a festive hamper together for a Rectory Green Christmas raffle; every flat number was put into the raffle bag ready to be drawn. Prestwich and North Western’s Housing Officer, Julie Hodgkinson and Garry, drew the raffle, and Mr Michael Mooney was declared the winner! Michael was delighted with his hamper and couldn’t thank us enough, stating – “Emanuel Whittaker had made his Christmas and that it was very much appreciated”. After the Christmas break, Mrs Mooney said that “the hamper was full of goodies and they were all delicious”.

Cycling Success
Oct 26, 2022
Whilst Emanuel Whittaker have been working at Alexandra Park for One Manchester, they have struck up a good relationship with a charitable organisation called “THE BIKE HIVE”, who are also based in the park.
For many years, The Bike Hive have been giving the people of Moss Side and the surrounding areas the opportunity to come to Alexandra Park and use one of the many bikes available. They cater for all ages and abilities, even offering specially adapted bikes and aim to get anyone onto a bike.
Ian, Carroll, Neil, Paul and the rest of The Bike Hive team also maintain and run workshops to show people how to look after and fix their own bikes. Emanuel Whittaker are always at hand to help and have even been known to go on bike rides, to offer their support.
The Bike Hive is a nonprofitable organisation and providing this service to the local community relies on charity, so all of The Bike Hive team are volunteers and give up their own free time.
Emanuel Whittaker thought it would be a nice gesture to make a donation to help keep this lovely service, which benefits the local community.
