Problem Solved

Nov 29, 2023

New PNWHA resident, Georgina Kennedy, moved into her first home at Rectory Green in July this year and had the issue of her wardrobe not fitting through the front door.

Desperate to get organised, Georgina was eager for her new windows to be installed, to see if the wardrobe could be lifted through the window opening, when the existing window is removed.

Unfortunately, the windows were not scheduled to be installed for some time, so the wardrobe was put into storage, until the window replacement this month.

Here are Emanuel Whittaker Sub-Contractors, Alan May and Jamie Schofield, Sovereign Window Fitters, moving the wardrobe directly into the bedroom!

As you’d expect, Georgina was delighted and extremely grateful.

Helping Hand

Great Places resident, Mr. Kilmartin, was struggling to get rid off an old kitchen carpet, so he asked if we could help while we were installing his new kitchen.
Emanuel Whittaker Labourer, Crawford Nuttall, removed it for the resident.
Mr. Kilmartin couldn’t thank Crawford enough!

All Clear…

Nov 29, 2023

Partially sighted Rectory Green resident, Jackie O’Brien, had a clear out in her flat following her window installation and had several items including a small set of drawers that needed discarding from her top floor flat.

Concerned about blocking the refuse chute and filling the communal bin, Jackie asked if the Emanuel Whittaker team could assist.

Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Garry Holt and Joiner, Mick Crossan, attended and collected the items and discarded of them into our site skip, with Jackie thanking us with a relieved smile as we left.

All in a day’s work

MSV resident Mr. Reebas Kadir, asked if we could fit an outside tap while upgrading his kitchen and bathroom.

This was arranged by the Emanuel Whittaker site team and Reebas was very grateful, stating that this would make their lives much easier.

Delightful Donation

Nov 29, 2023

Every year the residents of Rectory Green along with PNWHA, host a Macmillan coffee morning. Selling cakes, coffee and a prize draw in support of people living with cancer.

The Emanuel Whittaker site team had a collection to donate a prize for the morning’s raffle, which was a Slattery’s chocolate gift box, which included a £50 voucher for afternoon tea for the lucky winner plus guest.

The top photo shows PNWHA CEO Mike Corfield and Housing Officer Julie Hodgkinson accepting the gift from Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Garry Holt. The photo below shows winning resident, Anne Anderson.
