Finishing Touches

Oct 25, 2023

While Emanuel Whittaker Joiner, Chris Pomfret, was working at Mrs. Popat’s home, she asked Chris if he would be so kind as to fit a bathroom cabinet, towel rail, toilet roll holder and also a cooker hood just to finish of the look of her new bathroom and kitchen.

Mrs. Popat was over the moon with the results.

Problem Solved

On a sunny day at Rectory Green, you will often find the residents catching some rays in one of the various garden areas.

Resident, Michael Mooney, called into the Emanuel Whittaker site office one day to see if we could fix the damaged tube from a parasol base that is used in one of the communal areas.

Emanuel Whittaker sub-contractor, PBI Engineering, kindly welded the bolt back on to the steel cylinder.

Emanuel Whittaker Joiner, Mick Crossan reassembled the repaired stand.

Thanks Sarah!

Rectory Green resident, Sarah Smith, was kind enough to make a soup for Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Garry Holt, knowing that he had a wisdom tooth removed the previous day.

Sarah said she had a few days off work and was enjoying the time to cook and thought it would be appreciated.

It certainly was appreciated, delicious too, thanks so much Sarah!

Bathroom Bliss

Oct 25, 2023

Great Places resident, Ms. Richards, has recently had her bathroom refurbished by Emanuel Whittaker, which she was over the moon with and asked if it would be possible for us to put up a mirror, soap tray and towel rail.

Joiner, Chris Pomfret, had this done and dusted in no time!

Recycle, Reuse!

We mentioned in a previous Good News Story, that Rectory Green resident, Gerald Williams, had an allotment nearby where we had dropped off pallets at his request to assemble a compost bin.

On this occasion, Gerald approached us for some used glazing from our window replacement scheme, to construct a cold frame greenhouse.

Emanuel Whittaker Joiner and resident favourite, Mick Crossan, dropped off several glazing units to Gerald’s allotment one lunchtime; afterwards Gerald thanked Mick and the team for helping with his next project.
