Rubbish Removed

Rectory Green resident, Kathleen O’Brien, is decorating and organising her new flat and had some new kitchen appliances delivered.

Kathleen popped into the Emanuel Whittaker Site Office to ask if the packaging could go into the site skip, as she didn’t want to fill the blocks communal bins.

Joiner, Mick Crossan popped up to her flat to collect the packaging, and a delighted Kathleen thanked us for coming to her aid once again.

In case of emergency

Rectory Green resident, Jean Cabbin, popped into the Emanuel Whittaker Site Office on a few occasions with the odd query. Each time Jean has popped in she had made a comment about the Site’s first aid kit, asking where she could get one, as she’d like to house her supplies in an official bag, instead of the box she was using.

Site’s current kit was due to expire and our replacement came in a new bag, so we decided to donate the previous bag (minus the contents) to Jean.

As you can see from the photo, a smiling Jean was over the moon with her new ‘in case of emergency’ bag and couldn’t thank the team enough.

Considerate Contractor

Catherine Higginbottom lives at Rectory Green with her partner, David, who has some mobility issues. The pair are currently having their bathroom modified to allow David easier access into the shower, which meant there were some items that couldn’t be discarded in the blocks bins.

Cath called to see if Emanuel Whittaker could assist in disposing of the items, as neither resident has a car.

Joiner, Mick Crossan and Resident Liaison Officer, Garry Holt, attended to collect the bathroom items, which included a four panel shower screen.

Cath thanked us both repeatedly for coming to her rescue.

Pots Planted

JB Roofing’s, Matt Hollinshead, noticed all the care and attention that had gone into Rectory Green’s memorial garden over the summer months and offered up some reclaimed chimney pots from a previous job that he thought might look nice planted.

Rectory Green resident and main tender to the garden, Joan Eastwood, said that it is a wonderful idea and later that week the pots were in place, planted and looking grand.
