It’s the little things…
Apr 26, 2023Great Places residents at John Atkinson Court, Salford have been trying to establish a lunchtime club, where elderly and/or vulnerable residents can meet up once a week and have a home cooked meal and socialise with other residents.
Each week residents are asked to contribute a small amount to help towards providing ingredients for a traditional home cooked meal and a few residents volunteer to make the meal and serve it to the rest.
One week, Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Sarah Kershaw, decided to provide the ingredients to make mince, onions and potatoes.
The residents were extremely grateful, as was Babbs leading the group here today, as well as the other volunteers who also helped to make the dinner.

Mar 22, 2023Problem Solved
Mar 15, 2023While replacing the kitchen for RBH resident, Mrs McCondichie, Emanuel Whittaker Joiner, James Radcliffe, kindly put up some large wall brackets, perfect for a microwave to sit on safely.
RBH resident, Mrs McCondichie, states that the microwave will look lovely on the brackets and now she can use the extra space for a brand new air fryer.
Mrs McCondichie sincerely thanks Emanuel Whittaker for the space saving solution and will enjoy her new kitchen thoroughly!

Thoughtful Floor Layer
Mar 15, 2023After completing another Kitchen Installation, Emanuel Whittaker Floor Layer, Stuart Thwaite, was laying the new kitchen floor and decided he would carry on fitting the new floor into the store room adjacent to the kitchen, to give the job a nice finished look.
RBH residents, Mr Shalime & Ms Bibi, were happily surprised when they walked into the kitchen to have a look at their new floor.
Well done Stuart!

Happy Customer…
Mar 15, 2023MSV Resident, Mrs Pat Rixon has lived in her home for 40 years and has never had a new bathroom, until now.
Pat was so happy about having her bathroom renewed.
Pat suppled the Emanuel Whittaker site team with stream of brews, biscuits and toast, while they were working.
In return the team wanted to thank Pat by giving her a helping hand…
Emanuel Whittaker Joiner, Lorrie Patrick fixed and refitted Pat’s broken toothbrush holder.
Emanuel Whittaker Labourer, James Tomlinson was more than happy to help top up Pat’s car with water and screen wash.
Once we had completed the works at Pat’s home, Pat gave us a thank you letter and a gift bottle of wine for Site Manager, Adam Jackson and Resident Liaison Officer, Janice Nolan.
