Stranded Sofa
Oct 20, 2021
Salix Homes Residents, Mr & Mrs Davey, had a new sofa delivered to Canon Green Court, however they were left devastated when the delivery men didn’t take it up to their flat on the 3rd floor!
Site Manager, Alan Tinsley and Resident Liaison Officer, Vicky Gee, told them not to worry, as they would find a way.
With no labour on Site Vicky and Alan decided to sort it themselves.
So with team effort along with Mr & Mrs Davy, they managed to get the sofa up to the 3rd floor and into Mr & Mrs Davey’s lounge.
With much relief and joy, the next day Mrs Davey bought Alan and Vicky some delicious chocolates to say thank you.

Problem solved…
Oct 20, 2021
Resident, Beatriz De Sua lives on the North Clifden estate, where Emanuel Whittaker are currently replacing rear garden fencing.
Beatriz and her four children have been plagued with people cutting through their garden and using it as a short cut. So naturally, Beatriz asked if Emanuel Whittaker could help whilst they were on site.
Emanuel Whittaker joiner John Brayshaw suggested up-cycling some off-cuts of fencing being used across the scheme that would otherwise be removed to be recycled off-site. Together with fellow joiner Matt Warburton, John managed to enclose the garden, and give Beatriz the much needed security she and her children need.

Thank you and bye…
Oct 20, 2021
Coping with Covid restrictions has been tough for both residents and staff at Alvaston Road, a supported housing scheme for adults with disabilities.
Whilst carrying out the kitchen replacement works, the staff wanted to help make sure that the works went swimmingly. So they took the residents out on a day trip, so that the Emanuel Whittaker site team could get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
In return, the Emanuel Whittakers’ team wanted to say a big Thank You to the staff and residents, for their help and support… so they said it with chocolates.

Helping Hand
Oct 20, 2021
When working on any scheme, we like to be considered as a good neighbour. So we were more than happy to help when the warden at Victoria Square asked if we could help move a sofa… which turned out to be two sofas.
Emanuel Whittaker Site Manager Mark Healey and Resident Liaison Officer Ryan Whittaker moved the sofas from the ground floor at one end of the block, to the fourth floor at another end of the block.
The warden and the residents were very appreciative of our kind gesture.
Well done team!

Deckchair challenge
Oct 20, 2021
Salix Homes Resident, Mr Brown, decided that an old fashioned deck chair would be just what he needed to sit on his balcony.
The chair was delivered, flat pack…
We all know just how difficult a deck chair is to erect, right? But then Mr Brown discovered just how tricky it was to assemble one!
Realising how he was struggling, Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Vicky Gee, had an idea and decided to challenge joiners, Jordan Holt and Jake Holt to help out.
After a lot of laughs and much confusion, they rose to the challenge, and Mr Brown can now enjoy his new deckchair. Mr Brown was delighted!
