Keep it clean!
Mar 15, 2023Great Places Residents on Claycourt Avenue have recently had new windows and doors fitted, making a huge improvement to noise and heat within the properties and everywhere looks really smart.
However there are two greens at the entrance to the Avenue that were full of litter. Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer Sarah Kershaw and Apprentice Joiners Austin Hoy and Will Finn decided to clear the area of litter.
All residents were really thankful for what we had achieved.

‘Ramped’ Access
Feb 15, 2023PNWHA Resident, David Crane, who lives at Rectory Green uses an electric scooter due to his mobility issues. His partner, Catherine Higginbottom, highlighted that our recently installed site compound would hinder his exit and entrance into the building for hospital appointments.
The site team thought a ramp would be an ideal solution to resolve the issue, so it was arranged to have a lightweight aluminium ramp constructed by sub-contractor PBI Engineering.
This order was asked to be treated as a priority, as hospital appointments were imminent and we didn’t want to inconvenience David any further.
Ms Higginbottom was extremely grateful, stating that it is very much appreciated, and also adding that David’s appointments will no longer be a problem.

Festive fun…
Jan 24, 2023To celebrate Christmas, instead of the usual coffee morning, Great Places residents at Pullman Close, decided to cook a full Christmas dinner and invited Resident Liaison Officer, Sarah Kershaw and Site Manager, Phil Taylor, along to join them.
We took along a box of biscuits as a thank you and it was so nice to see everyone again and to have a look at the greenhouse we made a donation towards last year.

Considerate Contractor
Jan 24, 2023
A few residents were concerned when work was announced at Rectory Green, due to their being a Memorial Garden in the communal area of flats 1 – 12.
Emanuel Whittaker always take any resident concern seriously, so some protective matting was ordered and laid to reduce the impact of foot traffic on the lawn, while scaffold was erected. Pots and shrub tubs were also temporality relocated where possible, to reduce the possibility of any damage.
This was noted by the residents who tend to the garden and have thanked us on a few occasions for our consideration.

Delightful Donation
Jan 24, 2023With St Mary’s School neighbouring so closely to where Emanuel Whittaker are currently working at Rectory Green, the site team thought it would also be a good idea to put a hamper together as a donation for them to have as a prize at their school Christmas Fayre.
Here are St Mary’s Mrs Beck and Head Teacher Mrs Jones receiving the hamper. Mrs Jones said it was a lovely gesture and that someone would be lucky to win it at the school’s Christmas Fayre, adding that all proceeds from the Christmas Fayre are spilt 50/50 between the school and St Mary’s Church.
