Festive Cheer
Dec 18, 2024
One Manchester is spreading festive cheer this winter, with the generous support of local contractor, Emanuel Whittaker Ltd.
The company has stepped in to back the association’s winter events, by donating a range of raffle prizes such as, winter essentials, toiletries and biscuits, etc. Adding an extra sparkle to the season for residents.
Two of Emanuel Whittaker’s teams delivering improvement work to the local area, got together and went on a shopping trip, to buy goods to support One Manchester’s winter events. Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officers’ Neil Lancaster & Vicky Gee, did a supermarket sweep, to ensure the prizes met their needs.
These events are designed to bring communities together during the colder months and offer a little help for many.
A spokesperson from One Manchester, John Rossler, expressed his gratitude:
“We’re delighted to have Emanuel Whittaker’s support. Their generosity not only enhances our events, but also demonstrates their commitment to the communities they serve.”

Emanuel Whittaker Site Manager, Phil Taylor and Resident Liaison Officer, Sarah Kershaw, held a coffee morning for the residents at Douglas Leatham House in Blackpool, prior to work commencing to replace flat entrance doors.
All residents attended with scheme staff and Great Places.
We had a lovely morning, the residents found it really informative and were able to raise any concerns in advance to the works taking place.

Community Care
Oct 22, 2024
Every year, the month of September is dedicated to the little ones for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Organisations such as schools, hospitals, etc. hold a coffee morning either on the 26th or 27th, to fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support.
As a way of supporting our community, we donate yearly to local schools for this important event and this year we have once again supported The Cathedral School of St Peter & St John RC Primary, with delicious cakes and a cash donation collected by the Emanuel Whittaker team and trades (LGH).
The envelope was handed to the Head Teacher, Mrs Hanley, who was very thankful and honoured to be the chosen school once again.
Mrs Hanley, alongside her committed team of teachers and pupils appreciated this gesture, as this kind donation will go towards helping families in the local community.

Little Acts of Kindness

After almost being made homeless, resident, Elizabeth and her family have since found a property to rent with MCC.
However, the family had no furniture and only a few bags of clothes to their name.
Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Michelle Kateley and MCC Mechanical Clarke, Andy Holland, along with the rip out team, Liam and Paul, set out to get Elizabeth and her family some furniture and we managed to get lots of things through Social Media, all free furniture, pots and pans, bedding etc.
Thank you to all of the kind people who donated items.
