Little Acts of Kindness
May 15, 2024The Emanuel Whittaker team working with MCC at Higher Blackley, were asked if we would be willing to help Higher Blackley Community Centre to buy some sensory learning toys for their baby and toddler group and locals with learning difficulties, as they were struggling to raise funds.
We donated £250 to this well-worthy cause.

Donate to Dementia
May 1, 2024The Emanuel Whittaker team working with MSV referbishing kitchens and batghrooms around the Alexandra Park area of Manchester, were approached by The Bike Hive, whom we have donated to previously, this time to make a donation to their Dementia Group.
The Bike Hive are a welcoming, community run bike project based in Alexandra Park in central Manchester.
They run weekly cycling skills and learn to ride sessions in the park and the dementia group meet every Wednesday, they go on a bike ride and then have lunch.
We donated £100 to this well-worthy cause.
Emanuel Whittaker have since received the following message from The Bike Hive Treasurer, Carol Hutchinson –
“The Bike Hive volunteers would like to thank Resident Liaison Officer, Janice Nolan and all the team at Emanuel Whittaker, for the kind donation towards the upkeep of our accessible wellbeing cycles.”

Good News
Mar 13, 2024Emanuel Whittaker have recently hosted another work experience student, in partnership with Salix Homes.
Pictured here is Emanuel Whittaker Site Manager, Mike Harrison and recent work experience student, Jo Adeoti.
Jo was handed a certificate when he completed his time with us and he also filled in a work placement questionnaire before he left and it was clear that Jo had really enjoyed his time spent working with us.
Jo showed a lot of promise and we wish him well in his future career in Construction.

Lasting Legacy
Feb 28, 2024
When we set up our site compound at Rectory Green, it meant the neighbouring rear garden of Block 1–12 would be isolated from upkeep, as the work duration would be just over a year.
When works were completed and the compound was dismantled, we thought the garden area was in need of some TLC.
After liaising with the residents of the block who tend the memorial garden, it was agreed that the area would be a wildflower garden, where school children from the neighbouring St. Marys, could come across with teacher supervision and get involved with planting etc.
In partnership with Emanuel Whittaker, Sub-Contractor Multevo, we cleared the area, laid new paving stones, created a new boundary fence, including gates, along with a storage shed and garden planters too. We even had a ton of top soil spread on the garden area, so it was all ready for future planting.
As you can see from the photographs, the area has been totally transformed and is a lasting legacy for both residents and school children to enjoy for many a year to come.
