Well done, Will!

Great Places resident, John Archer, was having difficulty turning on his TV.

Apprentice Joiner, Will Finn, saw John struggling. So Will found some new batteries to put in the remote control. Will also programmed the TV, so that the football would come on for John that evening.

John was delighted!

Well done, Will!

Once bathroom works were complete on Shaw Road, Great Places residents  wanted a bathroom cabinet, toilet roll holder and towel rail fitted.

Emanuel Whittaker Joiner, Chris Pomfret, put up the flat pack cabinet in the bathroom. Chris also put up the towel rail and toilet roll holder.

Chris did a fantastic job and the staff and residents were very grateful.

Well Done, Chris!

The staff toilet door at Butterworth Lane had come off its hinges and part of the laminate had come away, meaning that the staff couldn’t close the door properly.

Emanuel Whittaker Apprentice Joiner, Austin Hoy, kindly offered to re-fix the door hinges and glue the laminate back down too.

The staff were really gratful.

Well done, Austin!

Helping Hand

Feb 15, 2023

Great Places resident, Mr Muirhead, asked Emanuel Whittaker Labourers, Crawford Nutall (pictured above) and Lee Barham, if it was possible for them to carry a large television and microwave down two flights of steps, as they were being collected by Manchester council refuge service.

The lads made a special visit early the next morning to make sure that the items were outside the property, ready for collection.

Food for thought…

Due to ill health, Great Places resident, John Archer, is unable to get out to buy food and other essentials.

Kathy Howard, Customer Liaison Officer at Great Places, asked if Emanuel Whittaker could help with getting a food parcel and blankets for John.
