Mick lends a helping hand

Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end

The site team couldn’t fail to help out when they met  the new resident that moved into a recently refurbished void property at 68 Duchy Road.

The new tenant had no choice but to leave her previous home of many years as it is about to be demolished. The retired lady was struggling to put up her curtains and blinds as the property had no curtain rails or batons to fix them to.

Site Manager John Millward and Resident Liaison Officer Garry Holt noticed how unsettling the move was for the resident and saw how she was struggling to make the empty property a cosy new home.

So they asked Emanuel Whittaker Joiner, Mick Rathbone to help out.  He quickly found some timber and attached new batons to the bathroom and both kitchen windows which could then be fitted with the curtains and blinds.
