Shepway shrubs saved from digger

Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end

Major improvements are about to get underway at the latest City West Sheltered Scheme, Shepway Court.

The grounds of the Shepway Court are about to get a major overhaul.  In preparation for the new heating systems and the main works, a large area of the rear garden needs to be dug up. Unfortunately, this area is currently where the residents have their garden and shrub area.

So before the excavations start, Emanuel Whittaker’s green fingered Gary Tez decided to rescue over 25 plants and shrubs from the area to allow them to be re-used once the works are completed next year.

The plants and shrubs are now being stored in grow bags in another part of the grounds until the residents decide where they will be replanted.
