There’s cash in the trash!

Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end

Scott Adams

When Stoney Knoll Resident, Mrs McManus, realised that she had inadvertently thrown away £100 of her housekeeping money with her rubbish, she understandably got into a bit of a panic.  The money had gone down the bin chute with the rest of her rubbish bags, and Mrs McManus thought she’d seen the last of it.  But seeing her distress, Emanuel Whittaker joiner Darren Robinson and Apprentice Joiner Laurie Patrick decided to go to her rescue.

They got access to the bin store, and started searching through the bulk bins to try to find her lost cash. But finding the right rubbish bag was like looking for a needle in haystack, with industrial size bulk bins. But they stuck with the task searching for half the day.  Their persistence paid off and they eventually managed to track down Mrs McManus’s lost money.

Mrs McManus was obviously overjoyed to get her money back, whilst Laurie and Darren were just happy to go home for a shower!
